Dean Petrakis
has over 25 years of experience in law
firms as a paralegal, investigator,
administrator and technical and database
consultant with both the plaintiff and
defense bar. During that time, he has
had the opportunity to learn how lawyers
and law firms function, and to observe
first hand the obstacles that prevent
them from practicing the law in an effective
and efficient fashion.
Dean's experience with legal technology
and the realities of implementation
date back to his work with the City
Attorney's Office of San Francisco where
some of the first use of video and trial
presentation technology occurred. Upon
moving to Los Angeles, he began work
with the Law Offices of Greene, O'Reilly,
Agnew and Broillet, where he assisted
with the design and deployment of a
database employed in complex litigation
for a Los Angeles Unified School District
property damage case. He co-founded
FIRM-SOLUTIONS
in 1996, which provides a full range
of consulting and technical services
exclusively to the legal profession.
He has spoken at Legal Technology seminars
in California and Nevada and is a Certified
Amicus Consultant, as well as a ProLaw
partner.
